Nimrus

Nimrus is the fusion of Telemetry and ICT

The concept of Nimrus was founded on the fact that existing network monitoring systems all utilise some part (e.g. network hardware, E-mail server) to report a network fault. However, if that part of the network has failed then the intended recipient CANNOT receive the information because this, the only link to the outside world has been lost.

Even with permanently manned networks, it can be some time before the engineer is aware of a failure (typically 5 minutes to 10 hours).  On networks that are only manned

during normal working hours, network failure would only be detected when staff returning to work in the morning - and this means many man-hours are wasted while the network and servers are rebooted or repaired.
